Ralf Schumacher of Germany wins French GP after victory at near-home Nürburgring (Europe GP), emerging as one of strongest candidates for 2003 Title. Schumi II was escorted by his team-mate, Colombian JP Montoya (Williams/BMW), with five times champion Michael Schumacher (Ferrari) third but Championship-leader the same because of an engine failure of Kimi Räikkönen's McLaren/Mercedes.
